Sonkran which means, “astrological passage”. This is celebrated in Thailand as their New Year. Every year the Thai community in Los Angeles celebrate Songkran and Hollywood Blvd. is closed down for the festivities. That means during that time, parking is very hard to find. When you plan on coming I suggest taking the Metro subway (red line) to Hollywood and Western because it drops you off right on the spot.
This was my first time coming here. The festival started early in the morning and ends at about 6:00pm. They had shows, concerts, fashion shows, Thai pageants, arts and craft, Thai culture, and of course… FOOD & BEER! Thai food everywhere!
