2010 Japan Trip Day 9
Tuesday 2010.05.04 7:59AM JST
Address: Gotemba, Mt. Fuji, Tokyo, Chiba
Waking up at Gotemba Station Hotel was pretty interesting. I felt as if I was in an Anime or a Japanese Drama... Being in Japan still feels like a dream. So I slapped myself to make sure it wasen't, LOL! The goal for today is to see if we can go at the top of Mt. Fuji... Well, not exactly... We'll go as high as we can. I hope there is no traffic on the way up.

Now this is a nice view. You wake up and you see Mt. Fuji.
Sorry for the shaking! I should really buy a Sony Bloggie or a Webbie ^^; I'm using my Sony H20/B.

Too early still... I didn't take a picture of my Breakfast because I forgot my Camera in the room... -_-; Still sleepy... It was nothing special, I just had Natto and Rice ^^;

On the way to Mt. Fuji, there was this place, which had these Old Japanese Style Houses for display. Real life size models. Made a quick stop to take some pictures.

Wow, feels like I'm in the 1800's or something... Woah! You see that Ninja?

Sad and Lonely Tree.

This was the first house I checked out.

Hmmm... Am I on "The Last Samurai"?

This was cool, you are actually allowed to roam wherever you want inside the house.

A little bit about the house.

Tom Cruise... Where are you?

Houses back then already had Fire Extinguishers.

Tadaima (ただいま)!

If you ever wanted to film a parody for "The Last Samurai", just come here.

Wow! My kind of house! I'll visit that one later... Got to go in order ^_^;

So this next house is a common Farmer's house back in the day.

Wow, made their own clothes...

I'm sure some kind of animal was involved to move these carts.

Got Rice?

I'm guessing the Husband farms and the Wife make clothes for the family.

Can you imagine Tom Cruise coming out saying Konichiwa? LOL!

Can make some Sukiyaki heheh!

These are real. These are not fake... nor display...

A little bit about the house.

Moving on... This place looks wonderful. Feels like I'm in a Movie... Definitely a good place to do a photoshoot for a Cosplay.

Not exactly pink, but still pretty!

Next is an Old Japanese Inn...

Mini Shrine.

I think this was a real bird, just stuffed.

Too much Kanji, I'm lost.

Tatami!

Took a picture of every room.

Yes, I ran around in the Inn and it was fun!

Time to leave before traffic gets bad.

Everytime I see a Japanese parking lot, it looks like a Car Meet. Anyways, time to drive up to Mt. Fuji. Still about an hour away.
The drive up to Mt. Fuji.

I fell asleep in the car! There was this part of the road that I missed on the way to Mt. Fuji. It played music! They placed these grooves accordingly on the pavement,
so that when your car tires are rolling over, the road would play a music.

Rest Stop... need to use the Bathroom!

A bus on the Canyons... (Touge). Does it drift?

These Machines talk!

I was going to get Takoyaki... But I saw they had Oden inside and it is cold up here! Oden will keep me nice and warm.

"You Are Here?"

This lady was the only one at the store. She made Oden, took orders, made Takoyaki, gave change, cleaned the tables, etc... She did everything. Wow!

Oden... Oden... Oden.. La La la la. So after eating, started driving back up again. 5 minutes onto the drive... Traffic... The line towards Mt. Fuji was soooooooooooooong.
I didn't want to spend my time waiting in traffic for that long, so I decided to just turn around and go home early. The traffic was so bad, it was not worth the time.

After a good 30 minutes drive back down... Got hungry, again... ^_^;

I can probably eat 2 of these in 1 meal.

I love this stuff! What is it called again? ^_^;

After a nice meal, heading back to Tokyo now.

Looks like traffic! -_-;

Hahah! Later I found out you can buy these at a "100 Yen" store. Yes, it's similar to 99cents Stores in California.

Picked up a really awesome Dinner!

So good!

Happy! Shrimp and Chicken.

So much food! Korean BBQ, Japanese Style!

After this, there was more. Yakisoba. I had to pass because I was very full!
Fun day today. Got to drive the Nissan March on the way down to Mt. Fuji. Got to experience how the traffic was here. Not so bad compared to California. Also got a chance to see more of the country side and take some photos. I think if I were to live in Japan, I won't be able to do it on the country side. I prefer the city. Not so much stuff going on the country side. A good place to get away though. Peaceful, clean, and fresh. Next time I visit Japan again, I would like to go to Hokkaido. I heard great views there and food!
