Outbrain or LinkWithin?

For the past month, I've been looking for a "You Might Also Like" widget that I can install on tofuprod.com. I really like the idea of being able to suggest other pages in your site that the reader might have missed, or might be interested in after reading the current page. The best part about the widget is, it's all automated... Just install the widget and let the magic happen, or so I thought...

Outbrain and LinkWithin are the top "You Might Also Like" widgets! If you check out other people's blog you've seen one or the other. I bet you're wondering which one is the best? I would go with Outbrain without hesitation. When it comes to support, Outbrain is there when LinkWithin is not. I tried to use LinkWithin but it will not work on my site because I do not use Wordpress, Blogger, or any blogging services. However, thy said their widget will work with "Other", you just have to contact them and let them know because they have to customize something on their end. Contacting them was a pain, they will reply here and there, when they don't feel like helping you or they don't know how to solve the issue, they will ignore you and practically leave you hanging. That's what happened to me. I've contacted them several times and never got a solution to my problem. Until finally Outbrain contacted me! Yes, Outbrain contacted me and said they can help. The communication with them was non stop until I got the widget to do exactly how I want it. If you don't believe me just check out Outbrain's and LinkWithin's twitter pages and see which one has more activity and customer support. You will instantly notice LinkWithin is not very active compared to Outbrain. So if you ever needed to install a "You Might Also Like" widget on you blog, consider Outbrain.
